  • About Chelsie Thompson

    Chelsie joined the Renaissance team in 2010 as the Symphony Operations and Education Manager, overseeing the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra and coordinating Ren Education programs, which serve over 15,000 local residents each year. In 2012, she took on additional responsibilities as the Renaissance Director of Operations, and later assumed the role of President in 2018. Previously, Chelsie has worked in positions with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts, and COSI Columbus Science Center, among others. She has a bachelor's in music performance from the Conservatory of Music at Capital University, as well as an M.A. in Arts Administration from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and an MBA from UC's Lindner College of Business. She is a 2015 graduate of Richland County Leadership Unlimited (the best class) and a 2016 recipient of Richland Community Development Group's "10 Under 40" award.

    Chelsie currently serves as Allocations Chair for the United Way of Richland County Board of Directors, as well as Vice President for the Board of Directors for Richland Newhope Industries, in addition to serving on Capital University's Alumni Advisory Board and the Mansfield Rising team. Other board and volunteer service includes the RCDG Arts Sector, Mid Ohio Drug Prevention Coalition/Mid Ohio 13er, Children's Theatre Foundation, Catalyst Life Services, The New Store, Richland Young Professionals, and Richland County Humane Society. When she's not at the Ren, Chelsie loves traveling and spending time with her husband Chris, baby son Jonah, and adorable mutt Juno.
