Participants will be challenged to look at how news is presented. Specifically, Ramsammy will explore the news as seen through the eyes of the Black Press.

Andrew Ramsammy is an executive leader with over 30 years in theater, radio, TV, digital, podcasting, and corporate communications. He’s an experienced revenue generator, resulting in over $25M in media and journalism funding, launching several enterprises into national brands.

With an educational background from Columbia’s graduate school of journalism, Ramsammy will be able to touch on how big media scales to smaller environments like Richland County. What biases and trends do you see, where are their coverage area lapses, what types of minority reporting has impact and what is the hardest to get the reader to care about and act on.
