Mansfield Youth Theatre (MY Theatre) is excited to present Matilda Jr., the musical based on Roald Dahl’s timeless book. This captivating story follows Matilda, an extraordinary young girl who uses her incredible intelligence and magical abilities to stand up to her cruel parents and the tyrannical headmistress, Miss Trunchbull.
Performed by talented young actors between the ages of 5 and 19, Matilda brings to life the power of courage, kindness, and the importance of standing up for what’s right. MY Theatre provides a nurturing environment where students develop theatre skills and confidence while being part of a large, collaborative production.
Founded by Renaissance Education Manager Dauphne Maloney, MY Theatre offers an educational experience for youth performers and ensures an inclusive experience for all audiences. Sensory-friendly performances of Matilda will be available, providing a welcoming atmosphere for all families.
