Premiered in January 2020 in Theatre 166, At Last: An Evening with Etta James was a sold-out hit for writer and director, Michael Thomas, and Condrea Webber who portrayed Etta James. This original musical tells the tumultuous life story of the legendary singer through the songs that she made great. In addition, Alice Bond (piano), Ed Jonet (Saxophone), and Rollie Harper (Drums) of The Etta James Trio will provide live accompaniment.
The performance will take place outdoors on the Renaissance property, and audience members should plan to bring their own chairs and follow appropriate social distancing measures. In the event that gatherings are still restricted at the time of the performance, the production will be presented as a drive-in event with the performance broadcast on a FM station.
This event is free, but requires tickets, and will be located outside.
