Artistic Jazz Orchestra: The Music of Count Basie

The Artistic Jazz Orchestra (AJO) returns to the Renaissance Theatre to pay tribute to the legendary Count Basie Orchestra. Led by Maestro Paul Martin, the AJO will deliver some of Count Basie’s most iconic works. Special guest artist Brian Michael Smith, a Rat Pack-style crooner, will perform Sinatra-Basie collaborations, while vocalist Kelly Knowlton will showcase selections made famous by Diane Schuur. With hits like “April in Paris,” “One O’clock Jump,” and “Jumpin’ at the Woodside,” this concert promises to captivate jazz lovers and swing fans alike.
