Made in Mansfield. Made Together.

For 98 years, the Renaissance has been built, rehearsed, designed, performed, taught, and preserved right here, by people who love this place. None of it happens without this community.

2026 Annual Appeal

WHAT WE ARE

More than a stage.

Most people assume a theater makes money from ticket sales. Many entertainment venues do: because many entertainment venues are for-profit businesses.

The Renaissance is not.

We are a nonprofit. Every dollar you spend on a ticket, every membership, every gift goes back into programming, education, and the preservation of our 1928 building. Every dollar goes back into our mission to foster greater human connection and understanding. That's what makes your support different from buying a ticket—and why it matters.

Ticket sales cover about half of what it takes to run this organization. Donor support covers the rest, ensuring we can remain accessible, and that everything we do stays rooted in this community.

Made here.
Everything you experience at the Renaissance was made right here, in Mansfield, by people who have made this place their home and their craft.

Built here.
Every set that appears on our stage was constructed from scratch in our own shop. No outside vendors, no shipped-in scenery. Just skilled hands and the determination to get it right.

Rehearsed here.
Weeks before opening night, the work begins. Rehearsals are where the transformation happens, where actors find their characters and a cast becomes a company.

Taught here.
Our education programs reach thousands of students each year. What they learn here - discipline, collaboration, the courage to be seen - stays with them long after the curtain falls.

Designed here.
From the first costume sketch to the final lighting cue, every visual element originates in the minds and hands of our local design team. Nothing is outsourced. Everything is intentional.

Presented here.
Our stages host performances that rival what you'd find in any major city. That’s because the people who make them believe this community deserves nothing less.

Performed here.
Our ensembles, from the Mansfield Symphony to our theatrical casts, are made up of artists who chose this stage. They could have gone anywhere. They came here.

Preserved here.
The Renaissance has stood on Park Avenue West since 1928. We are its stewards: restoring and maintaining a landmark that belongs to all of Mansfield, for the next hundred years and beyond.

Welcomed here.
From the moment you walk through our doors, you are part of this place. Our front-of-house team doesn't just take tickets, they make every guest feel like they belong.

MADE TOGETHER.

ROAD TO 100

2028 · 100 Years · Mansfield, Ohio
We are 98 years old.
We are just getting started.

The Renaissance was founded in 1928, not from abundance, but from a belief that this community deserved a place where art was made and people came together.

In 2028, we celebrate our 100th anniversary. Every gift made this year is part of building toward that milestone, and toward everything that comes after it.

We call it the Road to 100. And we're building it together, right here in Mansfield.

98 years in. Be part of the hundred.

This belongs to Mansfield.
