Despite the cancellation of our current season and the temporary closure of our theatre, we are working every day to plan a full schedule of great performances and events for our patrons to enjoy as soon we can be together again.We rely on performance-generated revenues for 60% of our annual operating budget, and these cancellations have dealt an immediate blow to the Renaissance as we prepare to face a significant loss of more than $200,000 in the next two months. Please help us recover just a small portion of this lost revenue and contribute to our "Help us get out of QuaRENtine" campaign to raise a total of $25,000. Director of Education, Community Engagement and Symphony
Maddie (Beer) Penwell joined the Renaissance team in 2018 to manage and oversee the current programming and future efforts as the Director of Education, Community Engagement, and Symphony. Though new to the offices she is no stranger to the Renaissance Theatre. Since 2010, she
Maddie is a graduate of Shelby High School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre from Ashland University. As a young student, she attended many of the Renaissance’s educational programs which helped foster her lifelong passion for the arts and education. She feels her position with the Renaissance will help fulfill her deep sense of responsibility to give back to the local community that has helped support her personal and professional growth and successes.
She enjoys performing on stage with her husband, Colton, cuddling with their dogs, Bob and Phil, and large amounts of black coffee.
