Despite the cancellation of our current season and the temporary closure of our theatre, we are working every day to plan a full schedule of great performances and events for our patrons to enjoy as soon we can be together again.We rely on performance-generated revenues for 60% of our annual operating budget, and these cancellations have dealt an immediate blow to the Renaissance as we prepare to face a significant loss of more than $200,000 in the next two months. Set Designer & Facilities Manager
Jason Kaufman has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Kent State University in Studio Crafts, with a focus in Glassworking. He is the Set Designer and Facilities Manager at the Renaissance Theater, a position that gives him great satisfaction because it allows him to put his background in Crafts to good use on renovation projects.
Jason has exhibited his sculptures across Ohio and is a poet and fiction writer. He lives with his wife, Jenny, and son, Cormac, in Mansfield, where he is highly involved with the literary and visual arts communities. He participates in monthly art critiques and writing workshops, curates and writes reviews of regional art exhibitions, and organizes poetry readings. Jason is editor and co-founder of Semaphore Literary Magazine.
