The Mansfield/Richland County Public Library will host the first of three Teddy Bear Concerts of the 2022-23 Mechanics Bank Education Series on Saturday, October 29 at 2:30 PM. Quickly becoming an annual fall tradition, the performance titled "The Spooky Old House" features a humorous Halloween story, brought to life by Artistic Director Michael Thomas in an engaging musical adaptation that features audience participation, interactive storytelling with local actors, and live musicians from the Mansfield Symphony. "The Spooky Old House" concert will be held at the the MRCPL Main Library's Community Room (43 W Third St) with audience members sitting alongside the performers. Geared to children ages 2 through 10, each Teddy Bear concert offers an interactive element as well as a relaxed environment. Small audience sizes, lights up, and low sound levels, as well as safe sensory-spaces, allow audience members with autism and other sensory-processing disorders to be accommodated at this performance.
