Improv-R-Us – EPIC Game Play! (GRADES 6-8)
- 4 weeks, beginning Thursday, October 8th @ 4:00 PM
- 40 minutes - limit 12 students per session, minimum of six participants
Improv GAMES – The EPIC POWER of “Yes, and…”!
Based upon the Ren’s popular Improv Underground program, the Improv-R-Us series provides students in grades 6-8 with an online platform upon which to explore the power of improvisation and theatre games. Since its inception, Improv-R-Us has offered the opportunity for groups of students to learn basic improv skills by participating in a collection of solo and group activities. Using an ever-growing set of games (added to favorites from our previous sessions), activities are designed to further promote self-confidence, improve communication skills, and have fun in a supportive environment. Students will develop stronger interpersonal and creative thinking skills, while learning to appreciate the spontaneous nature of improvisation. (Improv activity choices may be based upon number of registered participants. PARTICIPATION IN PREVIOUS SESSIONS IS NOT REQUIRED.)

Our Safety Measures for Public Performances
PLEASE READ: The Renaissance is currently utilizing a seating chart that recognizes social distancing for the 2020-2021 season; patrons who purchase a group of 2 or more tickets for a show are welcome to sit together within their purchased ticket range upon arrival at the theatre. Seat availability is subject to change pending government regulations, and patrons who would like to maintain a socially-distanced seat or are interested in changing their seats if restrictions are lifted should contact the Box Office directly to be added to a notification list.
All tickets purchased online and via phone are available for pick up at the Renaissance Box Office will call window prior to the event or during normal business hours.
