A Seat in Our Story

Every seat holds a story.
Now, you can make one part of yours.

Be part of the Renaissance for the next 100 years

As part of our Road to 100 initiative, the Renaissance Theatre is preparing for its 100th Anniversary in 2028 by investing in the future of this historic space. At the center of this work is one of the most visible and meaningful upgrades: replacing every seat in the auditorium.

New seating will improve comfort, legroom, and sightlines, while original brass end-caps are carefully restored to preserve the character and history of the nearly 100-year-old theatre. Additional improvements include updated flooring, new carpeting, and enhanced accessibility throughout the space.

While public funding has helped begin this work, community support is essential to complete the full transformation.

Why It Matters

For nearly a century, the Renaissance has been a place where memories are made—first shows, standing ovations, traditions shared across generations. Every one of those moments began from a seat.

This project ensures those experiences continue for decades to come—more comfortable, more accessible, and just as meaningful as ever.

A Community Effort

Thanks to a $500,000 state grant, we’ve been able to begin this important work—helping make the replacement of our auditorium seating possible.

But the seats are only one part of the transformation.

To fully prepare the Renaissance Theatre for its next century, additional improvements are needed throughout the space—including regrading the auditorium floor for better sightlines, relocating technical elements like the sound booth, installing new carpeting, and expanding accessibility for all patrons.

These critical elements are not covered by grant funding.

The grant begins the work. You’re invited to help us complete it.

Get Involved

Your seat becomes part of the Renaissance for years to come—marking your connection to every performance, every memory, and every moment that happens here.

How It Works

  1. Select your preferred seating section: Seats are available at a variety of levels based on location in the theatre. Availability is limited. At select levels, supporters may also receive priority access to tickets in their named seat for future performances.
  2. Personalize your engraved plaque: Each dedicated seat includes a custom-engraved brass plaque with your name, a loved one's name, or a meaningful message.
  3. Complete your reservation: New seats will be installed in time for the 2026 Summer Musical, marking the beginning of this next era for the Renaissance Theatre.
